Brad Hughes是威斯康星大學麥迪遜分校英語系資深教授，長期任該校寫作中心主任。公開發表論文100多篇，擔任多家期刊審稿人，曾受邀到中國、韓國、德國、波蘭、智利及美國國內高校開展寫作研討會和工作坊，多次在國際學術會議上作主旨報告。由于在跨學科寫作領域的突出貢獻，他榮獲眾多獎項，包括國際寫作中心協會（IWCA）頒發的行業最高獎項——穆里爾?哈里斯獎。

講座內容：

Over the past 50 years, writing centers have become powerful components of writing instruction at most universities across the U.S. and Canada. In this lecture, Brad will introduce different kinds of instructional programs that cross-curricular writing centers offer in North America and explain the theoretical bases for writing center instruction. In the later part of the lecture, he will introduce Writing Across the Curriculum programs, which work with faculty in disciplines across the university.
